About this Resource
The words “survivor” and “victim” mean different things to different people. Words matter. Who says them, and why, matters even more. Talking about terrorism has real impacts on real people, especially survivors and victims. This exercise is for those who care about that. It helps you to engage sensitively with others on a sensitive topic.
To complete this exercise, first, read the Factsheet and then complete the Reflection. This can be a personal reflection, or you may wish to use this as a basis for conversation in a group setting like a classroom, tutorial or workplace.
