“Such an impressive group of individuals. The connection with other terror survivors, that is my privilege and joy.”
Louisa Hope, Sydney Siege survivor, founder of the Louisa Hope Fund for Nurses, CONTINUUM Storyteller.
The core of CONTINUUM is our network of inspiring Storytellers: Australian and New Zealander survivors of terrorism who are committed to telling their stories to help break the cycle of hate and inspire fellow citizens to stand up and stand united for community harmony.
CONTINUUM takes a collaborative, trauma informed approach to working with Storytellers. The project aims to engender a sense of trust, safety, agency and creativity throughout the storytelling process.
Too often, victims and survivors of terrorism are spoken about before they are spoken to. Too often their own voices are lost amid the din of media headlines, political grandstanding, and public commentary. CONTINUUM provides a platform for terror survivors to tell their own stories in their own way.
Our Storytellers are also full partners and collaborators in the CONTINUUM project. Storytellers contribute directly through their expertise and insights to all aspects of project development, from co-designing the CONTINUUM identity and vision to providing creative direction over their individual content creation plans.
Working together as part of the project team has also helped to build relationships among Storytellers and lay the groundwork for a meaningful CONTINUUM community.
