About this Resource

When it comes to any community-building activity, we know the important role that people with lived experience have in driving and shaping our conversations and the projects we ultimately create together.

This planning resource contains Guidelines for those seeking to work with survivors and victims of terrorism in a safe, collaborative and rewarding way; and a Template to help you, your organisation or your group when co-designing a project working with survivors.

This Resource is a high-level guide for those wishing to connect and collaborate with survivors and victims of terrorism. It is not a substitute for therapeutic or medical advice and support. We strongly encourage connecting with your local trauma specialist organisation at the earliest possible stage when working with anyone with lived experiences of terrorism.

Notes for Use

We suggest dedicating 60 minutes to completing this template with your project team for the first time, as well as guaranteeing regular reviews throughout the project.
